Come join us for our new Green Exercises at The Sanctuary in Roche Caiman starting this Wednesday at 5.00 to 6.00 pm. Depending on interest, we will offer Tuesday and Thursday morning sessions from 7.30 to 8.30 am. Maya will be offering Yogalates classes which is a very nice mixture of yoga stretches and poses with Pilates toning moves. Classes cost 100 rupees per session.
Yogalates class is a very nice mixture of yoga stretches and poses with Pilates toning moves. It last from 1 hour to 1 hour and 30 min max. Class starts with gentle warm up with some light yoga stretches and flows. Then we slowly continue with Pilates section of the class. All together is a very unique blend of both styles. Class is in general intended to stretch the entire body but it has also its intense parts where we will feel the burn of the muscles. At the end of the class we always take time to slow down our breathing, we completely relax our bodies and we just stay still and in the moment for about 5-10 min with light meditative music and scents from essential oils.
The Yogalates class is far from traditional Yoga style or traditional Pilates style of training. It is more free and fun style of having a nice enjoyable class which is suitable for all age groups and for people who are seeking a gentle workout. Classes are more or less every time different but some moves/poses will repeat or will be progressing to next level when students master the skills.
