The green fingers never stop moving at Nature Seychelles Heritage (organic) Garden. Seeds getting planted, produce being sown, soil turning, pruning, pest control and recently, creating ‘windbreakers’ for our vegetable beds.
To stop the strong winds form destroying our seedlings we…
Found some saplings in the forest adjacent to The Sanctuary
Made some poles out of these
Created a triangular frame over the vegetable bed
Covered the frame with a mesh
…and voila! Bob’s your gardener.
And in case you are wondering what that bright yellow strip is, It is a pest control mechanism, the bright colour attracts the insect(s) which then gets caught on the sticky surface. No need for harmful chemical pesticides. If we do any spraying we use natural products such as neem oil.
